In May this year, the German Institute for Business Administration (dib) held its annual conference in Berlin celebrating excellence in Ideas Management within German organisations. It was the first time that the new German Idea Award has been presented at the gala dinner, as well as the traditional industry awards.
The intention is to award commitment that shows creativity, responsible management and implementation of innovative ideas in Germany and beyond. Nearly 200 companies from over thirteen industries participated in the awards, from small companies to large multinationals, entering ideas in the fifteen categories. Entries were received from companies like Audi, Deutsche Post, Deutsche Lufthansa AG, Siemens etc.
There were five special categories for the new German Idea Award. They represented outstanding, creative and dedicated individuals. Including Best Speaker of the Year, Best Newcomer and Best Idea. The Best Green Idea award went to SAP AG and Deutsche Bahn AG won Submitter of the Year.
It was agreed by all that the German Idea Award had a very successful start and that it will continue for many more years.
2012’s conference will take place in Dresden in May; details will follow on their site as soon as they are confirmed.
