IdeasUK is a membership organisation that is run by its members for its members. We are the only non-profit organisation in the United Kingdom that is dedicated to Ideas Management and Employee Engagement.

It is our firm belief that in these challenging times, quality ideas can significantly help a business become leaner, as well as helping the front line staff make a real difference to the overall objectives of the organisation. Our 2011 Annual Survey highlighted the following benefits amongst our membership.

We do not receive any formal funding from government or business and are not considered to be consultants, but a business advisory service. We are a membership organisation with around 100 members worldwide (including organisations such as Boots, HSBC, Ministry of Defence and Dubai Aluminium) and we have worked with many times that number over the years to establish successful ideas programmes.

So what do you get when you join?

One of the strengths of the association is its network of ideas managers worldwide, we hold regular networking meetings where we discuss current ‘hot’ topics within ideas management and we share best practice.

New members also get a visit to your site (UK only) included in the joining fee to discuss your requirements and how we can help to refresh an existing programme or assist in launching a new initiative within your organisation. We will be there every step of the way to assist and develop your scheme.

You will also have access to the ideasUK accreditation programme, which was launched in 2008. This programme, along with the ideasUk toolbox, is now used worldwide and is considered by many the standard framework for ideas management. The toolbox provides best practice for the management team of your programme and gives wide ranging tips and techniques that you can mix and match to ensure your suggestion scheme delivers the best benefits to your business. The accreditation then measures your success and awards are made each year to the top performing schemes.

Members are also able to submit their ideas free to the Idea of the Year competition. These prestigious awards take place at our annual conference in November and past winners have included: Diageo, Bupa, Boots, HSBC and many other blue chip organisations.

How much does membership cost?

As ideasUK is a not for profit organisation, it means our membership cost can be kept at a affordable level for business. 2012 new member’s rate is £795.00 (plus VAT) and we think you will agree with us that the benefits you receive for the small outlay offers great value for money!

In the second year of membership the fee reduces to the renewal rate, which is currently £595.00 (plus VAT).
